ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Doreen Bloch is a former Financial Services analyst who began her career working on auctions to trade stocks of Facebook Inc. and other leading private companies. In mid-2011, she left Financial Services to write The Coolest Startups in America, inspired by friends working in traditional industries who would always ask for her opinion as a startup expert on new technologies and companies to know about.
Doreen Bloch resides in New York City, and was born and raised in the Silicon Valley. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley?s Haas School of Business, from which she was awarded the Jack Larson Fellowship for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Doreen Bloch is a member of the Young Entrepreneur Council, an elite organization of young founders in the United States. Doreen Bloch?s work is regularly featured in business and mainstream publications, including Forbes, The Huffington Post, Inc.
